our story

Thomas Smith is a native of western Pennsylvania, an Air Force veteran and a father of six. Tom has been cooking professionally for over 25 years. Tom spent his formative years training in some of Columbus’s best restaurants and learning to cook from the city’s most esteemed chefs.

Chef Smith then went on to head the kitchens at The Roscoe Village Inn, Alex’s Bistro on Reed, Rigsby’s Cafe in New Albany, and was a managing partner at the Worthington Inn for 13 years before moving north and opening his own place in Upper Sandusky.

Don Tomasso’s has now been part of the
Upper Sandusky community for almost 10 years, specializing in quality, made-from-scratch Italian food. we are here to offer a quality experience atmosphere for those enjoying life’s big and small moments.
