At Don Tommaso’s our mission is deeply rooted in our journey of seeking a simple, fulfilling life away from the hustle and bustle of the city. As a chef, I made the deliberate choice to embrace the serenity of a small town, seeking to create an environment where my children could thrive and be rooted in the richness of community. Our commitment to using farm-fresh, locally sourced ingredients reflects our belief in sustainable agriculture and our dedication to providing our patrons with the freshest and most flavorful dishes. At the heart of our mission is the intention to share the authentic taste of Italy through thoughtfully prepared meals that celebrate the bounties of the land and the traditions of Italian cuisine. Our Chef

Chef Thomas Smith is an Air Force veteran and father of six. Tom spent his formative years training in some of Columbus’s best restaurants and learning to cook from the city’s most esteemed chefs.

Chef Smith then went on to head kitchens at The Roscoe Village Inn, Alex’s Bistro on Reed, Rigsby’s Cafe in New Albany, and was a managing partner at The Worthington Inn for thirteen years before moving north and opening Don Tomasso’s in Upper Sandusky.
